About Us
Our Mission
The Fort Collins Peach Festival seeks to provide a family-friendly event to the Northern Colorado community while promoting service, encouraging community interaction, and allowing local businesses to market and give back to the community through sponsorship.
Founded in 2010 as Pigs ‘n Pits, the Fort Collins Peach Festival has evolved over the years. An entirely volunteer-organized event, the Peach Festival serves as a fundraiser for the Rotary Clubs of Northern Colorado and the money raised goes right back into our community.
It’s a WIN-WIN for everyone!
The History of the Fort Collins Peach Festival
14th Annual is THIS YEAR!
13th Annual – 2023
Moved to Civic Center Park and had a great turnout where we raised $27,000 while the peach sales booth hosted by the Rotary Club of Fort Collins Breakfast raised an additional $14,000!
12th Annual – 2022
Back at the Drive-in starting at 11am for a day full of music, local food, and local beer!
11th Annual – 2021
We were back in person at the Holiday Twin Drive-in for an evening concert and some vendors!
10th Annual – 2020
We had to cancel the 2020 festival due to COVID. We are excited to bring back the Peach Festival in 2021!
9th Annual – Third Year Downtown! 2019
We had another successful Peach Festival with an attendance of over 16,000! We were able to donate $10,000 to Larimer Boys and Girls Club and it was a successful day overall.
8th Annual – Second Year Downtown! 2018
Another successful year downtown! Last year we were thrilled to host our second year of the Peach Festival in Downtown Fort Collins. With the expansion of two Kids Zones and an appearance by Ninja Nation, we had a great time creating a family friendly event for our community.
7th Annual – Moving Downtown! 2017
We were sad to leave Hughes Stadium but were thrilled to move our festival to Old Town Fort Collins! With changes looming in the future of Hughes Stadium the decision was to bring our gathering to Civic Center Park in Fort Collins. It was a thrilling first year that raised thousands for our local community, and ushered in a new era in the Peach Festival history!
6th Annual – Wonderful last year at Hughes Stadium! 2016
Our 6th Annual Fort Collins Peach Festival was one to remember! We hosted approximately 17,000 guests and raised several thousand dollars for local charities!
5th Annual – Expanding Exponentially – 2015
Our 5th Annual Fort Collins Peach Festival was another HUGE success! We had over 15,000 people attend and were able to raise nearly $73,000 for local charities! The additional food vendors, increased number of peachy items and awesome musicians helped make the day FUN for everyone who attended. We were even on national TV thanks to the US Pro Cycle Challenge bike race!
4th Annual – Continued Growth – 2014
Our 4th Annual Fort Collins Peach Festival was another BIG success! We had over 12,000 people attend and were able to raise almost $45,000 for local charities! We have set the date for the 5th Annual event at Hughes Stadium again and are already working to expand the offerings and be sure that we have even more peachy items at the event. Rotarians are very excited to be putting on our 5th event for our community members with the revenue generated again going back into our community.
3rd Annual – Bigger and Even Better – 2013
Our 3rd Annual Fort Collins Peach Festival was a HUGE success! With over 10,000 people in attendance we were able to raise over $33,000 for local charities! We have set the date for the 4th Annual event at Hughes Stadium and are looking forward to expanding the festival even more this year! Everyone who attends is sure to enjoy the new peachy fun we are planning. The best part is that this event is put on by our community members, for our community members and the revenue generated goes back into our community!
2nd Annual – The Community Enthusiastically Responds – 2012
Rotarians approached Colorado State University and created a partnership that would allow the event to grow for years to come at its new location, Hughes Stadium. With the new venue and added peachy items and activities the 2nd Annual Fort Collins Peach Festival attendance grew to over 8,000 people!
The Peach Festival is Born – 2011
In its first year at the Gardens on Spring Creek, the Fort Collins Peach Festival drew a crowd of over 3,000 people to enjoy the peachy festivities. The amazing community support of the 1st annual event created the demand for a new venue that could handle additional growth in future years.
The Beginning—Pigs ‘n Pits
In 2010 the Breakfast Club and the 1918 Fort Collins Club partnered together to host Pigs N Pits in conjunction with the Peach Sale. This festival included a 5K run and BBQ and after the success of that event, the four Fort Collins Rotary club Presidents decided that they could raise more money and promote Rotary’s ideal of Service Above Self, if all 4 clubs in Fort Collins worked together on one big event. This resulted in the creation of the Fort Collins Peach Festival.
A Genesis of an Idea
The idea for a Peach Festival started when members of the 1918 Rotary Club of Fort Collins and Fort Collins Breakfast decided to work together to raise money for local charities and to promote Rotary throughout the region. They decided to build upon the success of the Peach Sale sponsored by the Breakfast Rotary Club, which has sold boxes of peaches every year here in Fort Collins and all over Northern Colorado.
